Team Game

Again just a reminder that this weels Team Game will end at 11pm tonight (12th July) (BST) this will allow us time to compile the stats, the stats themselves may be posted tonight or at some point tomorrow, so again, if you want to improve your score which will increase your team's overal total, please play before the deadline time

If you've not yet played the Team Game this week or not recorded your team name in the comments, you have time but not a lot!

Next weeks Team Game (chosen by Diamond Guys & Gals) will be up and running just after 11pm tonight, but please remember as all the scores are being re-set at midnight, any score submitted before that time will be deleted

The Team Game starting tonight will finish next Sunday at midnight (BST) usual time

Don't forget , if you know you're going to be away, holiday, sickess etc, please try and get a message through to Ros58 or your team Leader so it can be recorded




MotM ~ July

There is still time to send in your nominations for Member of the Month for July, Nominations close on 15th July 2010 at midnight (BST), you may choose up to 2 members.

A poll will be opened soon after giving the names of those members nominated for all of you to cast your vote by the end of July




Final Call

To the members who received our email about their inactive accounts, can I say a big thank you to those members who have come back to us and there's still time, if anyone wants to, all you have to do is just log in, your account will then become active and you will be removed from our list, we really hope our members will do this

Account deletions will be carried out early on 11th July 2010

Hi to all our members


Just a quick update

Arcade Re-set

Our arcade re-set is Saturday 10th July 2010 midnight (BST), there's still time to work your way though some of our 8000+ games and get to a top stop, dont forget we award trophies, points and a roll of honour place for our top 3 players and 3rd place at the moment is very close!

In view of this, I've decided to do one of my Bank Holday Bonanza's (only its not a Bank Holiday lol) our VIP-Exclusive games category is now open to all our members to play, this will be locked again after the re-set, so if you're in the groups Gamers, Senior or Supporters, now's your chance

This week's game challenge (chosen by our MotM Anna) will close at 9pm (BST)

All Hall of Fame scores will be kept, its just the arcade and high scores that will be re-set

The next re-set will then be October 10th, our 2nd birthday!



Team Games

All our members will now have received a pm from me regarding the arcade re-set and how it affects the team games, just to remind everyone that this weeks TG will finish early (11pm Saturday 10th July - BST) to allow time to sort the stats before the arcade re-sets, which mean the TG for next week will roll over an extra day

Member Database

Those members that our system has identified as having not visited our site since 31st October 2009 have now received an email from us, this is informing them that after the re-set any member who is still showing their last log-in before this date will be deleted. We'd hate to lose anybody, especially as our members chose to join us, however we do need to keep our database up-to-date, those members who have still not visited before the re-set will be deleted. Our site still remains open to you should you wish to re-join in the future.

Thank you to those members who have now logged-in, our system has updated and you have been removed from the list. Thats all you have to do, just log-in and log-out if you would like your membership to remain active, of course we'd love you to come back and join in, we have so much to offer


A big thank you to all our members who have joined Whitey's arcade site, this is to give our members a chance to try out the new IPB Board version "3" and the new style arcade, no decision has been taken by Phoenix Arcade yet as to when we will be upgrading our board, there's an awful lot of work to be done to make all the mods compatiple with the "3" board. At the moment there is no Battle area, Casino, Lottery and the current arcade that we have with all its functions (game challenges, tournaments etc) is still in its infancy.

We would appreciate feedback though on how you are finding the differences, pro's and con's, if you'd like to have a look and see for yourselves, please register at Whitey's site using the links provided at Phoenix Arcade

Thank you to all of you who sent me a parcel of sunshine (requested in my last newsletter) I now have so much I'm surrounded by it, isn't it great though

Hello to all our members

Where did the summer sun go?

I don't know about where you all live but here in the wilds of East Anglia in the UK, we just seem to have more rain and wind than we did in March & April and a few odd days where it's been reasonable

So I thought put pen to paper and let everyone know what we've been up to on-site


Team Games

We're now into week 22, we have 9 teams, that is 8 teams of 4 players and one team we still need 2 more players for, so if you fancy having a go, there's not a lot to do, all our team members are asked is that they play the chosen team game at least once during the week, make sure they include their team name when they submit a score and basically thats it, plus you have fun along the way, so if you fancy giving this a go, can log in and play once a week (minimum) we'd love to have you on board, please contact either Ros58 or apply direct to the Team Leader (DragonMaster) by click the link "Member Teams" in the navigation bar at the top of the home page and click "Join Team"



MotM - June

Our member of the month competition is currently open for voting and will close at midnight (BST) Wednesday 30th June, if you haven't voted already, please do and if you have, thank you

Nominations for MotM - July will be accepted from Thursday 1st July until Thursday 15th July when a poll will again be posted for our members to vote for their choice



Arcade Re-Set

I can't believe that 3 months has passed so quickly! Our arcade will be re-set at midnight (BST) Saturday 10th July, so now's your chance to rack up some wins in the next couple of weeks, Good Luck to all

Also, to let you know that we have disabled the auto-reporter for the games again, we've been overwhelmed with reports of games that are in fact not broken at all, if you haven't already read it, we have an excellent guide about our arcade on site, for those who would like to know more or to get the best out of our arcade, do please read, thank you.

If you have an error on a game or find it's not working/scoring etc, please submit a manual report in our Arcade Issue's forum, please remember we need the game name and the error, thanks



Other News

World Cup

We still have our World Cup betting carrying on throughout the competition, we have been experiencing some problems with the bets being settled, Whitey is doing his best to sort the problems out and in the meantime, we can record who's won what directly from the tables and manually update the points to be awarded to members taking part in due course


Member Database

The Admin team have been doing a lot of work behind the scenes, adding/building/sorting and streamlining forums, keeping on top of broken game reports, sorting and moving games, archiving etc and Ros58 has just finished updating the members database.

In doing so we realise there are a few members who registered at Phoenix Arcade but following validation, have never activated their accounts, there are also some members that have not been active on site for a long time.

The members in particular we have been looking at are those that joined since opening (October 2008) but have not been active from that date up to and including October 2009. The members concerned are from the usergroups for Supporters, Seniors and Gamers. The members in our smaller groups ~ VIP's, Special's and Affiliates are unaffected.

October 2009 was as you know 7 months ago, there is a liklihood that members who have not been active before that date back to the previous October, for whatever reason will probably not come back to us, which is a real shame as they are missing out on so much. However, to allow Ros to bring the database up to date - all members receiving this newsletter now have a chance to ensure their accounts remain in the "active" section, by just logging in - yes that's all you have to do, we're not asking anyone to post in forums, play games, use the casino etc, although that would be fantastic if you did - just logging in will ensure your account stays active.

Those members who have not re-activated their accounts from the above groups (in blue) when the arcade re-sets on 10th July, will, unfortunately be deleted from our database during the following week.

Those members will receive an email from this account to let them know what will be happening, but only to those members that the system has identified.

We really don't want to lose anyone, so if you want to remain a member at Phoenix Arcade, all you need to do between now and 10th July is just log in
